Hannah dancing with her cousins. . .

Hannah saved a dance for me. . .  So we had our dance. . . our first wedding slow dance.  I dread the day I'll give her away too. . .  And the dance will be still be as if she were this small in my mind. . .

She couldn't stop smiling, or looking into my eyes. .

Hannah And Daddy Dancing. . .

We had a great time dancing an having fun.  One day it'll be Hannah's turn and I'll be dancing with her once again. . . But for now we will enjoy our little dances we get with each other.

Our Weekend

So this weekend was pack with stuff we did. . . Saturday. . .where to start . . well. . . Hannah woke up like normal and then we got ready.  And went down to city hall where we live there were a bunch on Marines from 29 Palms.  They were here showing off their gear, weapons, and vehicles.

Meeting her first Lt.

Trying on helmets. . (an trying to keep her head from falling over.)

Showing Her an M4. . .

Hannah was having a great time talking to the Marines as they showed her how different weapons and vehicles work. . .

Hannah behind a .50 cal. . . And they're showing her.

What's funny is Hannah know how to lock an load a M9 hand gun. . . An the Marines mouths open in shock an aww. . . speechless. . . But proud.

The smallest hugs let them know they're appreciated an not forgotten. . .

That's A Darn Good Question. . .

Hannah ask me a really good question today, but that was before she re implicates her pinky swear.
The pinky swear comes from watching different survival shows with her. So she has said, "Daddy eats the big spider, an Hannah eats the snake." an she sticks her pinky out an makes me pinky swear.

But the good question she had came from watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Pluto is dirty an needs a bath before the tea party. . .  So Hannah is watching an tells me, "Daddy Pluto gets a doggie biscuits at the tea party an Mickey gets biscuits."  Then she started telling me who gets biscuits an tea, but then when she got to goofy she stop.  An she ask, "Daddy what's goofy?"  "Is he a doggie like Pluto? or like Mickey?"
I told her, "I don't know baby. . . What do you think?"
She replied back, "I don't know you're the dad you should know."
I said, "Well I'm sorry I don't know what he is."
Hannah tells me, "Oh well, your lost."

All I can say is, "God help the poor kindergarten teacher who gets her in their class."

When Did She Grow Up. . .

This morning Hannah wakes up, an this is our conversation:

Hannah: "Daddy, I'm hungry"
Daddy: "Okay, what do you want to eat?"
Hannah: "Ummm, I want chop chop. . ." (chop chop = pork chops)
Daddy: "We don't have any more baby. . ., what else do you want?"
Hannah: "Steak?"
Daddy: "We don't have that either. . , What else?"
Hannah: "Chicken?"
Daddy: "Hannah, that's dinner food.  We need to eat breakfast stuff. . ."
Hannah: "Okay, fine you tell me what we have to eat!"
I had no comment :{

So what also happened this morning to make me question, "When did she grow up?" This is our other conversation:

Hannah: "Daddy I need to go potty.  On the big girl potty."
Daddy: "Okay lets go."
Hannah: "Daddy where's your glasses?" "You can't see. . ."
Daddy: "Oh, they're on the table in my glasses box. . ."
Hannah: "But you need them to see."

So I made circles with my thumb an index finger an put them on my eyes while she wasn't looking.  I said, "There now I can see you, see I got my glasses."

Hannah: "Ugh! dad why are you so weird????"

Again I had no comment. . .  So I ask myself when making her cinnamon french toast for breakfast, "When did she grow up?"

Hannah curling her hair. . .

Geesh. . . is it getting to the point where daddy is going to be to embarrassing to be around? Or is she too old to give me hugs an kisses?
I don't know but if she gets there any time soon. . . I will be sure to start the embarrassing parenting early for her. . .

Sometimes I want her to go back to these days. . .

One of the many faces of Hannah. . .

But no matter what she'll always be my little baby girl. . .

3-D treat

Today I decided to treat Hannah to something we never ever do. . . its pretty make shift but does the job. I turned our living room into a 3-D theater.  Like I said make shift. . .
But it works. . .
So we are getting ready to watch Coraline 3-D.  I also had to modify her 3-D glasses to fit her head but hey anything for my little girl. . .  Hannah loves her Tim Burton movies, she's getting in the mood an getting ready for Halloween.
So. . . we got 3D glasses. . . check.  Coraline movie playing. . . check.  Popcorn (a must have). . . check.  Juice box. . . check.  An lets not forget Disney Minnie princess ears. . .check.  Now we are ready for a Tim Burton marathon. . . Ready, Set, Play. . .

Ready for the movie. . .
 Gotta have Popcorn. . .

Looking cute. . .
All set an all she keeps saying, "Oh cool, this is the best day ever. . ."
She loves Jack. . .
Next on our play list: The Nightmare Before Christmas. . .

So this morning started off wonderful, one of the best mornings I could ask for. Hannah woke up well rested an in a good mood.  She wanted to watch Hannah Montana so i reluctantly said, "okay" :{ but we watch it any way. . . it was the episode of the daddy daughter day, where she blew off her dad to have a date.  So while on her date he took a phone call, she got all upset with him.  Turns out that her date's dad was station in Afghanistan.  So while watching the whole episode, Hannah wanted to sit in my lap an watch it. When watching the episode she pulled my arms around her, laying on my chest hugging my arms while they were wraped around her. . . yea talk bout one of those heart felt, teary eyed moments. . . An she tells me, "Awww. . .my daddy. I love you. . ."

Definitely one of those moments that should be in a book. . . Name the book, "Why a dad needs a daughter." it can say, "Why a dad needs a daughter, to let him know no matter how grown up she gets. He will always be her daddy an she'll always love him. . ."

So this morning we take the trash out, we're walking an she stop on her own an look both ways before crossing the parking lot to the trash dumpsters.  I hadn't said anything to her bout it cause we weren't far enough out to see around the plants, but she stop me an look first before crossing. All I could think was, I must be doin something right. Since she did that on her own. But I'll tell you I felt like an old man crossing the street while she was holding my hand an looking both ways . . . It was like she was trying to get her helping the elderly patch or something. . .

But yesterday Hannah gets my nikon an tells me, she wants to take a picture of her an I. So I let her all I did was set the self timer. . . But she puts the camera on a box an pushes the button. It was too funny to see her run to me to make sure she was in the picture. . .(not knowing that the 10 sec. self timer was on.)  But she took the picture first shot came out too low so she actually adjusted the camera by shoving a sock under the lens to lift it. Press the shutter button ran over to me, waiting an waiting. Hannah mumbles, "Come on already!" then flash camera took picture. . . It was actually a decent picture other than the way we look. . .
(Hannah's first she took with my nikon)
